We are seeking a skilled and dependable Wok Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong wok cooking experience, and can consistently execute high-quality dishes while maintaining kitchen standards and organization.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items using wok stations and high-heat cooking techniques
Execute dishes consistently according to recipes, plating, and portion standards
Maintain proper prep levels and station readiness throughout service
Communicate effectively with chefs, expediters, and kitchen staff during service
Ensure all food is cooked, stored, and handled in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards
Assist with prep work, sauce preparation, and station breakdown/cleaning
Monitor product quality and report shortages or issues to kitchen leadership
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times
Qualifications
Prior experience working a wok station in a high-volume kitchen preferred
Strong understanding of timing, heat control, and multitasking under pressure
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistency during busy service periods
Knowledge of Asian, Caribbean-Asian fusion, or high-heat sauté cooking is a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment
