Part-Time Line Cook/Dishwasher Island City

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Part-Time Line Cook/Dishwasher located in Long Island City at Yumpling. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, vibrant kitchen environment.

• Pay: $19-20/hour
• Schedule: Tuesday 6pm-11:30pm, Wednesday-Friday 6pm-8:30pm. 15-17 hours a week.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to support the kitchen’s daily operations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishes, utensils, and kitchen stations to uphold food safety standards
• Operate dishwashing equipment efficiently while managing the timely cleaning of all cookware, dinnerware, and kitchen tools
• Support the kitchen team with basic cooking tasks under supervision, ensuring meals are prepared according to quality standards
• Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene throughout all stages of meal service
• Assist with meal assembly and plating during busy service times in a manner that aligns with menu presentation standards
• Contribute positively to team efforts by maintaining a lively work environment focused on quality and efficiency
