Immediately Grill/Saut Cook

We are a fast casual, full service, American Restaurant and we are currently seeking a strong grill/sauté cook.

Responsibilities include

• set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

• prepare food for service

• maintain a clean and orderly station

• stock inventory appropriately

• ensure that food comes in high quality and in a timely fashion

• comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards

• maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

• ability to stand for long periods of time

Requirements

• Calm, cool and collected

• Punctual

• Minimum 2 years experience as a Grill/Sauté Cook in NYC

• Task driven individual

• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

• Day shift requirements: set up and prep for the day and night.

• Night Shift requirements: clean up grill and be sure all food is put away.

• Prepare food for service

• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

• Short Order Cook experience helpful

Food Handlers Certificate Required
