Line Cook Job Offer at Etcetera (Mission District)

Vins Etcetera is looking for help, we are looking for some amazing staff to join our crew. We are looking for someone with reasonable experience who's already been working as a cook in a restaurant or cafe.

Job Duties

• Be able to work on the line and execute all the dishes on the menu from tapas to main courses.
• Be creative with new dishes on a regular basis and implement the menu whenever it is necessary. (that includes new special such as the farmer's market and new tapas)
• Responsible for the costs and for the quality control of the food
• Be responsible for the management of the kitchen/kitchen staff which means be able to coordinate the prep and inventory with other prep and line cooks for next day or when needed.
• In charge of reordering the food weekly and doing the receiving

In charge of the training of any new hired in the kitchen. Will participate with the owner to the hiring process.

• Clean the line and kitchen at the end of the shift.

Hours&Salary

Part time. Usually starting at 4pm until 11pm or midnight on Saturday & Sunday. May be 2 to 4 days a week

• Salary: Starting at $23/ hour and $24 + Tips once fully trained. + Bi-Yearly Bonuses based on performance.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE some Line cook job experience
• Must be able to multi-task and perform under pressure
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Must be very friendly and pleasant, must treat the business like its yours and intereact respectfully with rest of the staff
• Must be clean and organized
• We will hire people on a trial period and you are required to attend a few training sessions on your own time so we can evaluate you to decide if you are a good fit.
