Shift Leader – Fast Casual Restaurant (West La)

Benny’s Tacos is hiring an experienced Shift Leader for a high-volume fast casual Mexican restaurant. This is a supervisory role requiring leadership, professionalism, and strong operational awareness.

• We are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing busy service while maintaining food safety and team accountability.

Pay

• $20.00 – $21.00 per hour starting
• Tips included (additional $2-$3 hourly average)
• Full-time: 40+ hours per week + Free Meal per Shift
• Immediate hiring

Availability Requirements (Important)

• Flexibility with Scheduling
• Weekend availability required (Saturday and Sunday)
• Must be available some weekday evening shifts

Schedule based on business needs

• This is a leadership position — flexibility and reliability are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Prior Shift Leader or Supervisor experience required
• Health Department / Food Safety knowledge required

High-volume fast casual restaurant experience preferred

• Strong attention to detail

Excellent time management skills

Professional communication skills

• Ability to resolve employee and guest conflicts
• Reliable and punctual
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Food Handler Card required (Manager certification a plus)

Responsibilities

• Supervise shift operations and staff
• Ensure food safety and health department compliance
• Manage breaks and labor positioning
• Handle guest issues professionally
• Maintain speed and accuracy during rush periods
• Monitor cleanliness and organization
• Support kitchen and front counter as needed
• Communicate with management regarding shift performance
