Pig in a Pickle BBQ is looking for the right professionals to work in the unique environment of The Emeryville Public Market. Our Emeryville team is made up of highly motivated professionals that work in small teams of 2-3. We are currently looking for Cashiers with a desire to sell high quality food in a casual and friendly atmosphere. Everything at Pig in a Pickle is made from scratch, including fresh baked breads, sauces and yes… Pickles. You would not expect the attention to quality and consistency of a Bib Gourmand restaurant in a kiosk, but here we are. The Cashier is the Meat Carvers right hand, assisting with sides and salads and settling each customer’s transaction on the POS system. Knowing the menu helps assist guests and attention to detail helps keep the restaurant running smoothly with cleaning and stocking throughout the shift as time allows.(5-hour shifts, set schedules, perfect for college students or second jobs) Each location of Pig in a Pickle has its own following of regular customers, we are looking for staff that enjoy engaging with guests while working quickly and efficiently to move guests through the line especially during peak lunch and dinner hours. Having excellent communication skills and remembering our regulars create an excellent income opportunity as a tipped employee and growth within the company is always encouraged. If you take pride in what you do and prefer to work on a team that is not micromanaged this is the place for you. Emeryville minimum wage is currently at $19.90 per hour, however our pay is based on experience and performance with the first pay review and possible increase in just 3 months. Average tips range from $5-9 extra per hour. Compensation also includes performance bonuses, shift meals and employee discounts (both on and off duty). Please email resume for interview.
