Silver Rice is looking for a dependable and motivated Shift Lead to join our growing team.

We are a fast-paced Japanese restaurant focused on quality, hospitality, teamwork, and operational consistency. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading shifts, supporting staff, and creating a smooth customer experience during busy service.

We are looking for someone professional, organized, calm under pressure, and interested in long-term growth within the company.

(Responsibilities)

-Lead Front-of-House operations during shifts

-Support team workflow and maintain service standards

-Coordinate communication between FOH and kitchen

-Assist with training and shift organization

-Handle customer concerns professionally

-Maintain cleanliness and operational standards

-Help ensure opening/closing procedures are completed properly

-Support management with daily operations and team accountability

(Qualifications)

-Previous restaurant or café experience preferred

-Leadership or supervisor experience is a plus

-Strong communication and problem-solving skills

-Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

-Reliable attendance and punctuality

-Positive attitude and professional demeanor

-Weekend and evening availability preferred

(Compensation & Benefits)

-Training Period: $21/hour + tips

-After successful completion of training and evaluation: $24/hour + tips

-Commuting expense covered for full-time employees

-Staff meals/drinks

-Future management positions and long-term growth opportunities are available for strong candidates

Most candidates complete the training and evaluation process within approximately 30–60 days depending on experience, performance, and availability.

-Ability to follow and uphold company standards

(Training & Growth Path)

Stage 1

FOH Operations Training

Train and develop proficiency in core Front-of-House positions including:

-Receiver

-Packer

-Expeditor

-Supporter

Candidates will learn company standards, workflow organization, customer service, communication, and operational systems.

Stage 2

Shift Lead Training

Candidates will begin overseeing shift operations including

-Leading FOH staff

-Coordinating workflow during service

-Supporting training and team accountability

-Managing communication between FOH and kitchen

-Maintaining operational consistency during busy shifts

-Organizing environment (including inventory control)
