New Restaurant in Pelham, NY

We’re hiring a Pizzaiolo!

We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking Pizzaiolo to join our back-of-house team at The Pelican Room, an exciting new restaurant opening soon in Pelham, NY. Just 28 minutes from Grand Central Station, we’re a coffee house by day and a full-service restaurant by night, serving an eclectic international menu, including brick oven pizza and an elevated beverage program.

As a Pizzaiolo, you’ll play a critical role in crafting high-quality brick oven pizzas with consistency and care. You’ll support our chefs and cooks by ensuring every pie meets our standards for flavor, texture, and presentation.

What We’re Looking For

A strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative.

Experience working with pizza ovens and hand-stretching dough.

Understanding of pizza prep, baking temperatures, and timing.

Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically active work.

A positive attitude and a team-first mentality.

Responsibilities

Proven experience as a Pizzaiolo or in a similar pizza-making role

Strong knowledge of dough preparation, toppings, and brick oven cooking techniques

Ability to work efficiently in a high-paced kitchen environment

Commitment to delivering consistently excellent pizzas

Passion for food and creativity
