Responsibilities: Days, Nights, and Weekend Availability

Requires attention to detail, commitment to standards, combination of speed and stamina, ability to work under pressure, some heavy lifting, and hot work conditions.

Prepare and cook menu items such as burgers, sandwiches, wings, and bar bites in a timely and consistent manner

Ensure all food is prepared according to standardized recipes and health/safety guidelines

Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times

Assist in daily prep and restocking of kitchen supplies

Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and other kitchen team members

Maintain awareness of food waste and portion control

Qualifications

Proven experience as a short order cook or line cook in a high-volume setting

Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality

Dependable, punctual, and a team player

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Food handler’s certification (or willingness to obtain)

Bar22 is Hiring: Maintenance Cleaner

We’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Maintenance Cleaner to help keep Bar22 clean, safe, and welcoming for our guests and staff. If you take pride in a job well done and want to be part of a laid-back, team-oriented bar, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Daily cleaning of bar interior (floors, tables, restrooms, behind the bar, etc.)

Trash removal and recycling

Light maintenance tasks (changing bulbs, minor repairs)

Deep cleaning duties as scheduled (e.g. floor scrubbing, vents, furniture)

Restocking cleaning supplies and reporting inventory needs

Ensuring all areas meet health & safety standards

Requirements

Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred

Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

Attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean space

Evening or early morning availability preferred

Schedule

4–5 shifts/week (approx. 15–30 hrs/week)

Flexible hours (some night or early morning cleaning)

Location: Bar22 – Downtown/Chicago

Schedule: Primarily Friday & Saturday nights (with potential for additional shifts)

Compensation: per hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities

Monitor guest entry and check IDs for age verification

Enforce venue rules and handle any disturbances calmly and professionally

Perform occasional bag checks and maintain crowd control

Work closely with bar staff to manage any situations that arise

Ensure guest and staff safety at all times

Requirements

Prior experience in security, nightlife, or hospitality strongly preferred

Must be at least 21 years old

Valid security license (if required by state/city)

Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills

Professional appearance and demeanor

Ability to stand for long periods and handle high-pressure situations
