Chez Nick is hiring an experienced Line Cook, looking for a team member to help grow the existing culinary program. Chez Nick is an ambitious neighborhood restaurant that utilizes the Chefs Michelin starred backgrounds to create its menu. Opened just two weeks prior to the pandemic Chez Nick has become a staple in the Upper East Side. We are looking to grow our team an experienced line cook that want to grow within the company. • Hours: 25-40 hour Work Week

Responsibilities

• Set up Mis en Place according to Chef's guideline
• Complete station inventories and checklists
• Support Chef with all menu prep and execution
• Assist in producing Family Meal
• Follow Recipes and presentation standards set by chef
• High Standards for a clean, organized workstation
• Assists with keeping the kitchen clean
• Holds High Standards to keep an A-Grade from the DOH

Skills & Requirements

• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with coworkers
• Passion for food and a commitment to being clean & organized

Strong Knife skills

• Ability to follow recipes without direct supervision to the Chefs Standards

Multitasking skills

• Punctual
• Clear and Professional communication with colleagues at all times
• Have the ability to stand while working for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
