Role Overview

We are seeking a reliable and energetic Deli Associate to join our team during our busiest hours. This utility role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a variety of tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our lunch rush runs smoothly, from preparing ingredients and crafting our signature sandwiches to supporting our catering operations with timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Catering Delivery Support: First priority are delivering the catering orders Monday-Friday. Some days there are no orders, some days there are 5-6. When needed, safely and efficiently deliver catering orders to local businesses and clients, ensuring accuracy and excellent customer service upon drop-off. Valid drivers license, clean driving record, ability to route and use GPS effectively, as well as ability to proactively communicate with customer if delivery will be delayed, are all a MUST.

• Sandwich Making: After the catering orders are delivered (if there is none, then the day starts on the line) assist the line during peak lunch hours by preparing and assembling sandwiches to Morucci’s high standards of quality and presentation.\
• Prep Work: Support the kitchen team with daily food preparation, including slicing meats and cheeses, washing and chopping vegetables, and restocking stations.
• General Utility: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, assist with general cleaning duties, and jump in wherever help is needed to keep operations running smoothly.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record. Must be an extremely safe driver.
• Valid Food Handler’s Card (or be willing to obtain one).
• Previous experience in a deli, restaurant, or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety and quality.
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Physical ability to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM (Part-Time)
• Compensation: $18-19/hour (DOE) + Tips
• Start Date: Immediate Opening — Looking to Fill This Role ASAP
