Busser / Director of Ambiance – $18/hr + End of month tips

Abbott Square Market – Downtown Santa Cruz

📍 725 Front Street, Santa Cruz

We are looking to fill 4-5 shifts per week for the position of Busser / Director of Ambiance to help keep our downtown food hall clean, welcoming, and running smoothly. Open 7 days a week, we offer morning and late night shifts to fit your schedule.

This is not your average busser job. We’re a high-energy public market with live music, a full bar, local restaurants, and hundreds of guests flowing through the space every day. We’re looking for someone who notices the little things, moves with urgency, and helps create a great atmosphere for everyone here.

Schedule

• Primarily evening/night shifts

• Must be available weekends

• Approximately 3-5 shifts per week

What You’ll Do

• Clear, wipe, and reset tables quickly and efficiently

• Keep indoor and outdoor guest areas clean and presentable

• Maintain restrooms, trash stations, floors, and general upkeep

• Help monitor ambiance including lighting, heaters, music levels, and overall guest comfort

• Assist guests with directions and general questions

• Support a safe, friendly, community-oriented environment

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable and punctual

• Positive attitude and comfortable talking with people

• Able to work independently and stay proactive on the solo as well as with a team

• Fast-paced worker with attention to detail

• Comfortable being on your feet for long periods

• Able to lift up to 45 lbs
